2 year old baby Ola Aminu has a hole in her heart, she needs your help to live
Little Ola Aminu was born in 2015 to the families of Mr. & Mrs. Aminu Ibrahim. Her family was filled with happiness for this bundle of joy. A few weeks after they were discharged from the hospital, her mum noticed that Ola’s heartbeat was a little faster than normal and she had high body temperature once in a while, this was assumed to be flu. Her condition worsened as she turned 5 months, at this point her parents had to take her to the nearest primary health center but were referred to a General Hospital where she was admitted and placed on oxygen to aid her breathing.
The sad news came that Ola was diagnosed with a hole in the heart (symptomatic congenital heart disease), which was confirmed by echocardiography consist of (large sized ostium secundum atrial septal defect) the only hope of survival was to perform a cardiac surgery but she would have to wait till she is 2 years old before such surgery could be performed.
Ola is now 2 years +, the doctors in charge contacted an hospital in India where she would be operated on. The total cost of the surgery is 4 million Naira. So far, her family has raised 1.9 million Naira by selling virtually all they have including her dad’s only car and also featured her in one of the major national newspaper due to the urgency and delicate nature of her failing health.
