Help Bunmi Ibitomi beat Cancer
Good day, I am Olubunmi. Temitope Efejuku née Ibitomi
I was diagnosed with cancer of the breast sometime in 2022 after I noticed a lump under my armpit, and then it disappeared to the aorta part of my breast. This was discovered after I went for a scan at the Leah Foundation clinic in Ilorin.
I was asked to go for a fine needle aspiration, and it was here that the entire issue of cancer was discovered.
I then proceeded to the University Teaching Hospital Oke Oyi in Ilorin and was directed to SOPD, and I started seeing the consultant, Prof. Agodurin, and his team.
I had seven courses of chemotherapy, and I was booked for a mastectomy on April 26th, 2023. After this, I proceeded to LUTH and was seeing an oncologist, Dr. Eben, and I had 30 sessions of radiation.
After this I came back to Ilorin, where I reside, and I was further told to be placed on an accepting injection (chemotherapy) due to the immunochemistry result, a stage 2B cancer.
Apart from this, I run tumor marker tests, liver function tests, and CT scans every three months. I was also asked to go to the PET scan center in Lagos. All of these I really can't do mainly because of funds.
I have been taking herbal treatment, which my consultant kicks against because of pins and needles pains, fever, back pains, and a lot more.I find it difficult to stand for long, at times very difficult in the mornings, and walking is an issue because of the pins and needles effects on the soles of my feet.
I have too many fevers. The surgery part grabs me, and I run into pains.
The consultant advised strongly on the aceptin injection, which is about 570000 in federal hospitals, and they are looking at 18 injections.
I also take tamoxifen, which I have been placed on for 7 to 10 years. I am to always take filgrastim injections to boost my white blood cells...
