Good day, dear Nigerian, Cheerful donors and Concerned individuals, I am Atanda Yaqub Olalekan, a registered nurse who sustained an accident on the 8th of April, 2022. The accident involved a fracture of my spinal bone L3-L4 (spinal cord accident) and also a fracture of my left wrist. The spinal cord injury was managed via surgery at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Ikeja (LASUTH) with a metal implant binding the fractured bone together. This means I am highly restricted from many life activities that are expected of me as a man.

The wrist fracture was booked for surgery at National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi, Lagos, but couldn't happen due to lack of finance. This means the hand that awaits surgery is restricted to very light weight in order to prevent fracture again, as this is a case of overlap healing (it will brake with little force). The effect of the accident on me is as follows:

I couldn't work under any employer, as they can't tolerate restricted activities due to a spinal cord injury and a fractured hand.

My Kids/children are all withdrawn from school due to inability to pay their school fees

All utility bills (Feeding, Clothing, shelter, among others) have been very difficult

Getting drugs to support my health challenges has been difficult.

Where I need help

(1) Setting up a source of income.

As it's a reality that no employer will want to give me a job with excuses that I can't do any strenuous activities, the only way out is to get something I can do by myself that will put food on my table and allow me to manage my health challenges.

Here, I have an existing plan for the opening of the clinic and maternity ward that I will manage myself and get people to work alongside with me, which will allow me to take a break when necessary while co-workers bridge the gap when necessary.

I have invested and have attained up to 70% of the resources for opening the clinic and maternity before and after the accident. I have proofs and documents for this if it's needed to be provided.

(2) I need financial help to take care of my basic health and family need (food, clothing, children's education) before the Clinic and maternity become fully Registered, operational, and financially stable to meet up with my basic needs

I shall be available for visitation for a background check and confirmation of my claim.

All previous and current documents of my health challenges shall be available on request.

Thanks, as I look forward to hearing from you.
